In this webinar, we explore the impact of pesticides on health. Coco Fuhri Snethlage, PhD researcher in Professor Max Nieuwdorp's group, will discuss the impact of pesticides on the human microbiome. Changes in the microbiome may in turn be linked to various health problems. Coco will explain these insights using practical examples and advice for healthcare practice.
Then Professor Mohamed Aqiel Dalvie from South Africa takes us through his research on the impact of pesticides on health, with a specific focus on effects on brain and child development. In doing so, he offers an international perspective on the subject. Indeed, due to the global distribution of food products, situations in South Africa, for example, can also be relevant to the health of people in the Netherlands.
This webinar is relevant to healthcare professionals, researchers and others interested in the relationship between health, nutrition and the environment, including doctors, nurses, dieticians, orthomolecular therapists, environmentalists and policy makers.
