We are excited to announce the launch of a Global Health Rounds Masterclass, a 9-week series dedicated to exploring how health systems function in different contexts. The Masterclass will run weekly from 24 September to 26 November.

The Masterclass explores health systems as a key determinant of health. They shape which services are provided, how they are delivered, and what resources are available. Health systems do not operate in isolation but are closely connected to other sectors of society. While the WHO “building blocks” framework offers a common basis for analysis, local and national contexts provide valuable insights into what makes systems succeed or fail.

During this Masterclass series, Dutch and international experts will guide us through various aspects of health systems.

At the end of the masterclass series, participants are able to:

  • Het WHO-framework voor bouwstenen van gezondheidssystemen toepassen om het functioneren van gezondheidssystemen in verschillende omgevingen te analyseren.
  • Verschillende disciplinaire perspectieven verkennen om de prestaties van gezondheidssystemen te verbeteren, waaronder economie, techniek, geneeskunde, sociale wetenschappen en epidemiologie.
  • Bespreken hoe verschillende belanghebbenden, waaronder beleidsmakers, zorgverleners, patiënten en gemeenschappen, gezamenlijk kunnen werken aan het verbeteren van gezondheidssystemen.

Participants who register and attend at least 70% of the sessions are eligible for a certificate. It is also possible to participate in individual sessions without registering. The sessions are free of charge and are accredited with 1 point per session by the NSGH.
