In a powerful opinion piece in De Volkskrant newspaper, international health care physician Heleen Margriet Koudijs expresses her concerns about the recently adopted amendment to the new asylum law. According to this amendment, providing shelter or medical care to undocumented migrants could also become a criminal offence: “If a landlord is liable to prosecution for renting a room to an undocumented person, then admitting someone to hospital may also be a criminal offence.”
